Parkleys is home to 169 flats of varying sizes, ideal for individuals, couples and young families. It’s a community where residents are involved in helping shape life on the estate.
Volunteering plays an important role. A residents’ committee looks after maintenance, finances and compliance, supported by neighbours who lend a hand with small repairs, fire safety checks and light gardening. For this reason it’s important that owners are resident. The estate is not suitable for buy-to-lets.
The shared gardens are at the heart of Parkleys. With mature trees and open green spaces, they’re perfect for relaxing, meeting neighbours and giving children a safe place to play. There are no private garden areas, and planting is carefully managed to preserve the estate’s character. Each year, residents come together for a much-loved summer party.
Parkleys is Grade II listed, recognising its importance as an example of post-war housing. This helps protect the original design, so residents are asked to check with the committee before making any changes to their homes.
New residents receive a handbook with practical information, and regular newsletters and WhatsApp groups help everyone stay connected – from local news to recycling and community events.
Parkleys offers a unique village feel in a beautiful shared setting.
